Melody Thornton was born in Phoenix, Arizona. She has Mexican mother and an African-American father. Melody Thornton talent was first discovered at an elementary school talent show when she sang “Without You“.
She left High school and saw the Pussycat Dolls on MTV and heard they were auditioning for a new band member. Melody went along to the audition and in 2003 she joined the Pussycat Dolls. Her powerful vocals have been compared to Christina Aguilera’s.
