Carmit Bachar is of Israeli/Chinese and Dutch/Indonesian descent and comes from a family of entertainers. Carmit Bachar’s mother was a dance teacher and her father danced. She competed internationally as a rhythmic gymnast, and placed 5th in the Olympic trials in 1992, she even went on to compete in the Gymnastics World Championships. During her career competing on the National Team, she attended Hamilton Academy of Music in Los Angeles, studying music, dance, and also piano and viola.
In 1995 Carmit Bachar joined “The Pussycat Dolls” , two years after they were first formed. She has been a member of the Pussycat Dolls longer than any other performer!
Carmit Bachar has also appeared in several films. 13 Going on 30, Along Came Polly, The Scorpion King and appeared in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle with Pussycat Dolls.
As a freelance dancer she has appeared with several rock and pop idols. Carmit Bachar was the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” girl in Ricky Martin’s world tour in ‘99. In 2000 she appears on stage with Gwen Stefani during “Bathwater” in No Doubt’s DVD Rock Steady Live. In 2004 she was a dancer for Janet Jackson (during the infamous peek-a-boo Superbowl half-time(and half naked) show). Carmit Bachar was also a dancer for Beyonce. She appears in Beyonce’s music videos “Crazy In Love” and “Baby Boy“.
